TLDR The new laser technique effectively reduces forehead lines with fewer side effects and faster recovery.
The study introduced a new technique for reducing glabellar frown lines and forehead creases using a small incision, KTP laser, and endoscope, performed on 62 patients over 18 months. This endolaser method utilized the frequency-doubled Nd:Yag laser with a quartz contact probe, allowing for precise muscle incisions with minimal bleeding. The procedure was as effective as traditional forehead lifts in facial rejuvenation but with fewer side effects such as paresthesias, scalp itch, headaches, periorbital ecchymosis, and hair loss. Additionally, it significantly reduced recovery time.
