TLDR Brow lifts raise and smooth the forehead and can lower the hairline.
Brow lifts were surgical procedures designed to address brow ptosis and forehead and glabellar wrinkles. Various techniques, including endoscopic, trichophytic, and coronal approaches, were used based on cosmetic diagnoses, surgeon preference, and additional procedures like bony orbital recontouring and hairline repositioning. Endoscopic brow lifts could elevate the hairline, especially in patients with thick forehead skin, but required caution in those with excessive vertical brow height. The surgery often involved more than just brow elevation, with goals such as flattening forehead skin and lowering the hairline. Novice surgeons were advised to be cautious when combining brow lifts with upper eyelid blepharoplasty due to the risk of lagophthalmos.
