TLDR The fractional ultrapulse CO2 laser is a safe and effective non-surgical treatment for upper eyelid issues and brow lifting.
The study evaluated the efficacy and safety of fractional ultrapulse CO2 laser for treating upper eyelid dermatochalasis and periorbital rejuvenation in 20 patients. Results showed significant improvements in eyelid crease and brow position at 3 and 6 months post-treatment, with average elevations of 1.62 ± 0.69 mm and 2.110 ± 0.66 mm at 3 months, and 1.63 ± 0.68 mm and 2.300 ± 0.67 mm at 6 months, respectively. Side effects were mild, including minor crusting, oozing, edema, and moderate erythema, all resolving within a few days. The study concluded that the fractional ultrapulse CO2 laser is a safe and effective non-surgical option for treating low to moderate upper eyelid dermatochalasis and offers the added benefit of a nonsurgical brow lift.
