TLDR Janus Kinase Inhibitors are promising new treatments for various skin conditions due to their effectiveness and safety.
Janus Kinase Inhibitors (JAKi) are emerging as effective treatments in dermatology for conditions like Atopic Dermatitis, Alopecia Areata, psoriasis, and vitiligo. By inhibiting the JAK/STAT pathway, these inhibitors prevent inflammation and have shown superior rapid onset of action and multi-target cytokine suppression compared to traditional treatments. The review highlights their favorable safety profiles in short-to-medium term use, making them promising alternatives for patients with treatment-resistant inflammatory skin diseases.
