TLDR PRP therapy significantly regrows hair and satisfies patients without side effects.
This study evaluated the efficiency of intralesional platelet-rich plasma (PRP) therapy for scalp alopecia areata in a randomized comparative single-blinded design over 24 weeks. Participants were unaware of their group assignments, and hair regrowth was assessed at baseline and every 12 weeks. The findings indicate that intralesional PRP therapy leads to significant hair regrowth and increased patient satisfaction, with no notable adverse effects.
