TLDR JAK inhibitors might help treat alopecia areata.
Alopecia areata, an immune-mediated form of hair loss, was shown to be mediated by CD8αβ+NKG2D+ T effector memory cells through Janus kinase (JAK) signaling. A study using human clinical samples and a mouse model demonstrated that JAK inhibitors could potentially treat this condition.
