Survey of Imaging Characteristics of External and Internal Posterior Columns in Patients with Tibial Plateau Fractures on CT Scan

This study aimed to investigate the characteristics of posterior column injuries in patients with tibial plateau fractures using CT imaging. Conducted on 105 patients from December 2023 to August 2024, the study found that the incidence of lateral posterior column injuries was 26.7%, while medial posterior column injuries were 25.7%. Various measurements, such as fracture angles and surface area percentages, were recorded, highlighting differences between the lateral and medial columns. The study concluded that posterior column injuries are common in tibial plateau fractures, and CT imaging is essential for accurate classification and planning of interventions and treatments.
