TLDR Lifestyle changes improve symptoms and fertility in hyper-androgenic women.
The study in Northern Upper Egypt evaluated the impact of lifestyle modifications on 116 hyper-androgenic infertile overweight women, revealing significant improvements in symptoms like androgenic alopecia, acne vulgaris, and hirsutism, alongside a 36.2% increase in positive pregnancy tests post-intervention. Participants in the experimental group, who received dietary and physical activity interventions, showed a notable reduction in hyper-androgenic symptoms compared to the control group. The study underscores the effectiveness of lifestyle changes in managing hyper-androgenism and enhancing fertility, emphasizing the crucial role of nurses in guiding and educating women on healthier lifestyle habits. Further research with larger samples is suggested to generalize these findings.
