TLDR Lifestyle changes can significantly improve hair loss in overweight women with PCOS.
The study evaluated the impact of lifestyle modifications on 116 hyper-androgenic infertile overweight women in Egypt, focusing on dietary changes and physical activity. Results showed a statistically significant improvement in androgenic alopecia levels following the intervention, with a notable reduction in stage III androgenic alopecia from 28.6% to 0%. The findings suggest that lifestyle modification therapies can significantly benefit obese and overweight infertile women with PCOS by improving androgenic alopecia levels. The study recommends that maternity and gynecologic health nurses receive training to support clients in managing these challenges.
