TLDR Combining iron supplements with physiotherapy could better treat women's hair loss linked to iron deficiency.
In 2020, a study involving 26 women aged 19 to 54 with mild iron deficiency anemia and telogen hair loss was conducted. The women were divided into two groups: one received iron supplements and physiotherapy, the other only iron supplements. After 6 months, both groups showed hair growth improvement, but the group receiving both treatments showed more significant improvement. The study concluded that a combined treatment of iron supplements and physiotherapy could be a potential treatment option for women with telogen hair loss associated with iron deficiency.
