Formulation and Evaluation of Herbal Hair Dye Using Platycladus Orientalis for Preventing Hair Loss

The study presents a herbal hair dye formulation using Platycladus orientalis, aimed at preventing hair loss and providing natural hair color. It addresses the drawbacks of synthetic dyes, such as skin irritation and health risks, by using plant-based ingredients like henna, indigo, and amla. The dye is gentle on hair and scalp, offers long-lasting color, and covers gray effectively without harsh chemicals. It promotes hair growth, nourishes, conditions, and acts as an antidandruff agent. The dye is environmentally friendly, 100% water-soluble, stable at room temperature, and suitable for all ages. The formulation showed no skin irritation, with an optimal pH of 6.69 for color penetration, and Formulation 5 exhibited superior dyeing properties and stability.
