TLDR The herbal hair dye with natural ingredients like henna was successfully made and tested, but more research is needed on its effectiveness on different hair colors and benefits.
The study presented in the article focused on the formulation and evaluation of a herbal hair dye using natural ingredients, primarily henna, to achieve a darker black color while also providing benefits such as preventing premature greying, reducing hair fall, cleaning dandruff, and promoting hair growth. The main components of the dye were Henna (50%), Indigo (30%), Coffee (4%), and Amla (4%), with additional ingredients like Shikakai, Reetha, Brahmi, Red Sandalwood, Hibiscus, and Bhringraj each contributing 2% to enhance the color and hair health. The dye was successfully formulated and tested on blonde hair, resulting in a color similar to natural black hair. However, the study concludes that further research is needed to assess the dye's effectiveness on various hair shades and to fully understand its potential benefits.
