The study formulated and evaluated a 100% herbal hair dye as an eco-friendly alternative to synthetic and semi-synthetic dyes. The dye consisted of 30% aqueous extract of Cymphomandra betacea, 30% aqueous extract of Tagetes erecta, and 40% Aloe vera gel. The herbal dye provided permanent color without causing hair damage, hair loss, or skin irritation, and also protected hair from photoreaction and pollution. This formulation demonstrated a viable and safer alternative to conventional hair dyes.
