TLDR The hemostatic net improves skin graft success and reduces complications.
The study investigated the effectiveness of using a hemostatic net in non-meshed partial-thickness skin grafts. Conducted on 10 adult patients with 12 burn areas, the research compared the integration of grafts using a hemostatic net versus traditional meshed grafts. Results showed 100% integration in all areas treated with the hemostatic net, with no occurrences of seroma or hematoma. The study suggests that the hemostatic net technique, initially used in cosmetic procedures, reduces complications, costs, and hospitalization times, thereby improving patient outcomes. However, larger comparative studies are needed to confirm these findings.
