Studysummary In this study, 8-week hair loss management combined with aroma scalp massage did not significantly change hair thickness or density but improved scalp moisture and subjective satisfaction among 16 participants aged 20–50. Our plain-language summary of this paper — not a Tressless recommendation.
This study investigated the effects of a hair loss management program combined with aroma scalp massage on hair and scalp conditions, involving 16 participants aged 20 to 50, divided into experimental and control groups. Over 8 weeks, both groups showed no significant differences in hair thickness and density. However, both groups experienced significant increases in moisture and oiliness, and decreases in stratum corneum amount, pore condition, and scalp surface. Notably, the experimental group showed a significant decrease in stratum corneum amount after 8 weeks and reported higher subjective satisfaction compared to the control group.
