TLDR Huaier helps hair grow back and repairs tissue after cancer treatment.
The study found that Huaier, used in cancer recovery, promotes significant hair growth and restoration, indicating its efficacy in tissue regeneration and repair. This hair growth was first observed after conventional chemotherapy, occurring in a dose-dependent manner. The molecular basis for this growth was identified as the activation of the Hedgehog signaling pathway, which initiates systematic tissue repair in pathogenic lesions, skin problems, and neural signal transfer. The study also found that activation followed by inhibition at 3-6 month intervals prevented complications like recurrence and metastasis by controlling transcription in cancer stem cell production. This regulation occurred regardless of SMO (smoothhead) function. Therefore, Huaier not only induces cancer-specific cell death but also promotes tissue regeneration and hair growth.
