Follicular Unit Extraction with or without Platelet-Rich Plasma in the Treatment of Androgenic Alopecia

    This study, conducted at Zagazig University Hospitals, investigated the role of Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) in enhancing the outcomes of Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE) for treating androgenic alopecia. It involved 16 patients divided into two groups: 8 received FUE with PRP, and 8 received FUE without PRP. Results indicated that all patients in the PRP group experienced good hair regrowth with perfect outcomes, while 5 out of 8 in the non-PRP group showed good regrowth. The study concluded that PRP significantly improved hair density and quality during hair transplants.
