This study evaluated the effectiveness of bitter melon extract (Momordica charantia L.) as a hair growth stimulant in hair tonic formulations. Various concentrations of the extract (5g, 10g, 15g) were tested on rabbits, with a blank control. The formulations were stable, homogeneous, had a pH of 5.7-6.4, and caused no skin irritation. Hair growth results were 5.0mm (5g), 5.6mm (10g), 6.7mm (15g), and 4.3mm (control). The study concluded that higher concentrations of bitter melon extract led to increased hair growth, with the 15% concentration showing the best results.
