TLDR Compound follicles in folliculitis decalvans mainly have active hair follicles.
The study investigates compound follicle structures (CFS) in folliculitis decalvans (FD) and finds that these structures are primarily composed of terminal anagen follicles, rather than vellus or retained telogen follicles. This finding may contribute to a better understanding of the disease mechanism in FD.
