TLDR Some medications may cause lasting sexual dysfunction.
The study reports on five patients who developed enduring sexual dysfunction during treatment with isotretinoin, finasteride, fluoxetine, or citalopram. Two of these patients developed flaccid glans penis or genital numbness. The study included 300 patients, and the mean causality scores were 8.9 for serotonin reuptake inhibitors, 8.8 for 5α-reductase inhibitors, and 8.5 for isotretinoin. The study suggests a potential link between these medications and sexual dysfunction.
