TLDR Precocious puberty in girls is linked to cosmetics, pollution, light exposure, early sexual information, diet, and hereditary factors.
The study analyzed 119 girls with precocious puberty and 119 with normal sexual maturity to identify clinical characteristics and risk factors. It found significant differences in axillary hair growth, early menarche, and hormone levels. Risk factors for precocious puberty included frequent use of cosmetics, polluted environments, sleeping with the light on, early exposure to sexual information, and certain dietary habits. Hereditary factors like a mother's early menarche and breast development were also significant. The study highlights the importance of education and lifestyle changes to prevent and control precocious puberty in girls.
