TLDR Hair loss in women may have multiple causes, and eyebrow regrowth possible with specific injections.
The authors of this paper suggest that female pattern hair loss may have causes beyond androgenic factors, including the effects of prolactin and oestrogens on hair growth. They recommend further research into these potential causes. In a separate study, the authors found that intralesional triamcinolone acetonide injections can stimulate regrowth of eyebrow hair in patients with frontal fibrosing alopecia.
