TLDR Exosome therapy from treated stem cells may help reduce inflammation and promote hair regrowth in alopecia.
The study investigates the effects of exosome therapy from hypoxia-treated mesenchymal stem cells (Hypo-Exo MSCs) on TNF-α and VEGF levels in a fluconazole-induced alopecia model using 30 male Wistar rats. Results show that Hypo-Exo MSCs significantly reduced TNF-α levels and increased VEGF levels, with the 200 μg/mL Hypo-Exo MSCs-treated group showing the most pronounced effects. These findings suggest that Hypo-Exo MSCs could be a promising regenerative therapy for alopecia by modulating inflammation and promoting hair regrowth.
