    Musa paradisiaca, commonly used in global cuisine, also plays a significant role in ethnomedicine, primarily for treating diarrhea and other ailments like diabetes and colds. This review compiles data from 70 documents, highlighting the plant's diverse therapeutic uses and its rich phytochemical profile, including flavonoids, phenolic acids, and essential minerals. Recent studies confirm its antimicrobial, antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, antidiabetic, and wound-healing properties, attributed to bioactive compounds such as soluble fibers and saponins. The findings enhance understanding of M. paradisiaca's medicinal potential, supporting its use in nutrition, pharmacy, and medicine.
