TLDR Platelet-rich plasma speeds up burn healing.
This study evaluated the effectiveness of autologous platelet-rich plasma (APRP) in enhancing burn wound healing in a 45-year-old male with second-degree burns. APRP, rich in growth factors, was applied to the burn sites, and wound healing was monitored over four weeks. The patient showed significant improvement, with faster tissue regeneration and reduced healing time compared to conventional methods. Although the results are promising, further large-scale studies are needed to confirm APRP's efficacy and applicability across different wound types and clinical settings.
