Efficacy of Intralesional Triamcinolone Acetonide in Alopecia Areata by Dermojet at Abbasi Shaheed Hospital, Karachi, Pakistan

    The study conducted at Abbasi Shaheed Hospital in Karachi, Pakistan, evaluated the efficacy of intralesional triamcinolone acetonide administered via Dermojet in treating alopecia areata. Involving 100 patients aged 15 to 50, the treatment was given monthly for 3 months. Efficacy was defined as more than 50% hair regrowth in the affected patches. Results showed that 75% of the patients experienced significant hair regrowth, indicating that intralesional triamcinolone acetonide via Dermojet was highly effective for treating alopecia areata.
