Effectiveness Of Planned Teaching Programme on Knowledge Regarding Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS) among Adolescent Girls

    TLDR Teaching programs significantly improve adolescent girls' knowledge of PCOS.
    The study assessed the effectiveness of a planned teaching program on knowledge of polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS) among 65 adolescent girls at Um Salama High School in Al-Ahsa. Initially, 52.31% of participants had inadequate knowledge of PCOS, but after the program, 95.38% achieved an adequate level of knowledge. The results, analyzed using SPSS version 20, demonstrated that organized education significantly improved the girls' understanding of PCOS (paired t' = 9.61, p<0.05). The study concluded that teaching about PCOS is effective and recommended raising awareness through similar programs in schools.
