TLDR A woman with PCOS successfully overcame secondary infertility and became pregnant with triplets after treatment.
The case report from January 26, 2021, detailed the successful treatment of a 34-year-old woman with a history of polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS) who was experiencing secondary infertility. Initially diagnosed with PCOS at age 22 and having undergone a polypectomy, she was able to conceive her first child six months after the surgery. Seven years later, she sought treatment for secondary infertility, which was again attributed to PCOS. She was treated with a combination of medications: Lezra, IVF-M injections, and an IVF-C injection, which resulted in a triplet pregnancy, although one fetus was lost. The case underscores the complexity of PCOS and the possibility of overcoming infertility with proper treatment, despite the heightened risk of complications during pregnancy.
