    Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS) affects 8-13% of women, with up to 70% undiagnosed, and has wide-ranging impacts. A systematic review of literature from 2013-2023 suggests that while various treatments exist, they often have unfavorable effects on PCOS symptoms. A holistic management approach, including lifestyle changes and bariatric surgery like gastric bypass, is recommended for long-term improvement in symptoms and quality of life.
