TLDR Both extraction methods result in similar physical stability for the hair tonic.
The study aimed to evaluate the effect of maceration and soxhletation extraction methods on the physical stability of hair tonic preparations made from Sansevieria trifasciata leaves extract at concentrations of 1%, 3%, and 6%. Tests included organoleptic, pH, specific gravity, and viscosity assessments at low (4°C) and high (40°C) temperatures. Results indicated no significant difference (p-value <0.05) in the physical stability of the hair tonic between the two extraction methods.
