TLDR Dupilumab can cause lupus-like symptoms, so patients need careful monitoring.
A 63-year-old male with a medical history of rheumatoid arthritis, diabetes, hypertension, and peripheral neuropathy developed drug-induced subacute cutaneous lupus erythematosus as a result of taking Dupilumab for chronic hand dermatitis. This case highlights the potential for Dupilumab, a medication typically used for dermatitis, to induce lupus erythematosus, emphasizing the need for careful monitoring of patients receiving this treatment.
