This study reviewed the use of dupilumab, beyond its approved indications for atopic dermatitis and prurigo nodularis, and found effective treatment reports for various chronic inflammatory skin diseases such as bullous autoimmune diseases, eczema, and alopecia areata, highlighting its broad potential in dermatology.

This case report describes a patient who developed alopecia after 18 weeks of treatment with dupilumab for atopic dermatitis.

This case report suggests potential effectiveness of dupilumab for alopecia areata, though hair regrowth may result from indirect effects on inflammation in atopic dermatitis.

In this study, 16% of patients on dupilumab for atopic dermatitis experienced mild cutaneous adverse events, most commonly facial redness and psoriasis, leading to discontinuation in about 3% of cases.
