TLDR Dicer is crucial for hair growth in mice.
The study investigated the role of Dicer and Tarbp2 in hair follicle bulge stem cells (BSCs) during anagen development in post-natal mice using conditional knockout models. The findings indicated that Dicer, but not Tarbp2, was essential for regulating the growth phase of hair follicles. This research enhanced the understanding of miRNA-dependency in hair follicle cells, particularly in defining post-transcriptional gene regulation during anagen development.
