TLDR The (+) enantiomer of YH239-EE effectively kills breast cancer cells.
The study investigates the cytotoxic effects of YH239-EE and its enantiomer on the MCF7 cell line, a model for breast cancer. The findings suggest that the ethyl ester group in YH239-EE enhances its ability to induce cell death. Notably, the (+) enantiomer of YH239-EE demonstrates high efficacy in inducing cell death in MCF7 cells, indicating its potential as a promising therapeutic candidate for treating breast cancer subtypes represented by these cells.
