TLDR For best curls and hair health, use keratin and ceramide after rinsing, or skip rinsing for stable curls.
The study investigated the effects of different middle rinsing processes during perm treatments on curl formation and hair damage. Hair samples from a 32-year-old woman, both healthy and damaged, were used. The results indicated that for optimal curl formation, applying treatments like keratin and ceramide after middle rinsing and before neutralization was effective. However, to maintain hair health, avoiding middle rinsing or allowing moisture removal for stable curl formation was recommended. This approach aimed to satisfy both customers and practitioners by balancing curl quality and hair health.
