Physical Qualities and Antifungal Activity of Cucumber (Cucumis Sativus) Extract Shampoo Against Candida Albicans

The study evaluated cucumber extract shampoo's physical qualities and antifungal activity against Candida albicans. Using four formulas with varying cucumber extract concentrations (0%, 0.06%, 0.08%, and 0.1%), the research found that all formulas had a clear yellow color, herbal odor, thick texture, and were homogeneous. The pH ranged from 8.52 to 8.86, viscosities from 1352 mPas to 1690 mPas, and foam heights from 8 cm to 8.6 cm. Antifungal activity increased with higher extract concentrations, with the 0.1% formula showing the strongest inhibition zone at 24.35 mm. The study concludes that the shampoo meets physical quality standards and has strong antifungal properties.
