TLDR Blue light therapy may help with hair growth, but more research is needed.
This study investigated the effectiveness of blue light therapy on hair growth in 20 patients with androgenetic alopecia. Participants were treated with a blue LED light device twice a week for 10 weeks. Results showed an increase in hair density and hair shaft width in 90% of patients, with photographic improvement in 80%. No serious adverse events were reported, though 2 patients experienced hair darkening. The study concluded that blue light therapy was a promising treatment for hair loss, but further research was needed to confirm these preliminary findings.
