TLDR The Broad Ligament Maneuver effectively relieved PCOS symptoms and restored ovarian function.
A case study on the Broad Ligament Maneuver (BLM) for treating Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) showed promising results in a patient with a six-year history of the condition. After four BLM sessions, the patient experienced significant improvements, including increased serum levels of estradiol and LH, disappearance of cervical cysts, normalized menstrual flow, confirmed ovulation, and the resolution of symptoms such as hirsutism, acne, acanthosis, hair loss, poor weight control, and emotional lability. The study suggests that PCOS may be linked to the stiffening of ovarian parenchyma due to shortened connective tissues, and BLM effectively released these tissues, restoring ovarian function and alleviating PCOS symptoms.
