Biological Properties of Polycaprolactone and Barium Titanate Composite in Biomedical Applications

This review explores the biological properties of polycaprolactone (PCL) and barium titanate (BT) composites, highlighting their potential in biomedical applications. PCL is a biodegradable polymer, while BT is a ceramic with piezoelectric properties beneficial for osseointegration. The review is divided into three sections: the first examines the biological properties of PCL in pure and reinforced forms, the second focuses on BT's properties, and the third summarizes the properties of the PCL-BT composite. It also discusses the challenges and future research directions for these materials, emphasizing their promise as innovative materials in the biomedical field.
