TLDR The dressing can track joint movement and speed up healing of joint wounds.
The study presents a bioinspired conductive dressing with aligned wrinkles, designed to monitor joint motion and promote joint wound healing. The dressing was created using an electrospinning technique and a water-induced self-assembly approach. The wavelength and height of the wrinkles can be adjusted by modifying the thickness ratio of the two layers and the amount of conductive microparticles. The dressing can monitor diverse joint motions and accurately track different types of mouse neck motion. In vivo wound repairing results showed that the dressing can speed up the healing of active wounds on the mouse neck by promoting collagen deposition, hair follicle regeneration, and epithelialization. This innovative dressing combines real-time motion monitoring and wound repairing functions, offering a new approach to managing joint wounds.
