TLDR Biofibre hair implants are safe, well-tolerated, and provide immediate cosmetic improvement for hair loss.
The document from 2016 discusses Biofibre® hair implants, a minor surgical technique performed under local anesthesia that provides an immediate aesthetic result for those suffering from diffuse hair loss or hair thinning. The Biofibre® medical hair prosthetic fibers meet all the biocompatibility and safety requirements established by international standards for medical devices. They are available in 13 colors, with different lengths (15, 30 or 45 cm) and various shapes (straight, wavy, curly and afro). The implants are indicated for both male and female patients, and can be used to correct scars or scalp burns, or in cases of poor donor areas. Clinical and histological studies have shown that Biofibre® hair implants are safe and well tolerated by patients and can be totally reversible if necessary. However, this technique requires good after-care, periodical check-ups and yearly implant re-touches to maintain the best cosmetic result.
