TLDR Bioceramics show promise for treating hair loss by aiding hair follicle regeneration.
This review explores the potential of bioceramics in promoting hair follicle regeneration and hair growth, addressing the limitations of current clinical treatments for hair loss. Bioceramics can release bioactive ions that positively influence skin tissue repair and hair follicle reconstruction. The review discusses the structure of skin tissue and hair follicles, lists the main types of bioceramics that aid in hair follicle regeneration, and examines various application forms of inorganic materials in this context. It concludes by highlighting the promising role of bioceramics in developing new strategies for treating hair follicle damage and hair loss disorders.
