TLDR Ayurveda-based care with Guduchi, Ashwagandha, and Curcumin improved quality of life for breast cancer patients without serious side effects.
This pilot observational study evaluated the impact of an Ayurveda-based regimen using Guduchi, Ashwagandha, and Curcumin on the quality of life (QoL) and safety in 40 breast cancer patients undergoing conventional therapy. The study found that patients receiving the supportive care reported significantly better global health status, physical and emotional functioning, and experienced lower symptom burdens, including less distress from hair loss, compared to the control group. No serious adverse events were reported, although two patients experienced mild gastric discomfort. The findings suggested that this Ayurveda-based supportive care could safely enhance QoL for breast cancer patients, indicating the need for larger trials to confirm these results.
