Activity Test of Combination of Binahong Leaf Extract (Anredera Cordifolia) and Lemongrass Extract (Cymbopogon Citratus) as Antifungal Against Pityrosporum Ovale

The study aimed to determine the antifungal activity of a combination of binahong leaf extract (Anredera cordifolia) and lemongrass extract (Cymbopogon citratus) against Pityrosporum ovale, a microorganism associated with dandruff. Using 5 test groups with varying concentrations and a control group, the extracts were tested on Sabouraud Dextrose Agar medium. The results showed that the combination of binahong leaf and lemongrass extracts, which contain flavonoids, effectively inhibited the growth of Pityrosporum ovale. The most effective concentration was 50% binahong leaf extract and 50% lemongrass extract, which produced a 17.40 mm inhibition zone.
