This study evaluates the antibacterial activity of Sansevieria trifasciata Prain. leaf extracts and ethyl acetate fractions. The leaves were processed with ethanol and ethyl acetate, and their effects were compared to ciprofloxacin (positive control) and DMSO (negative control). The study found that both the extract and the 40% ethyl acetate fraction (ET40%) showed significant antibacterial activity against S. aureus, E. coli, and P. aeruginosa, with inhibition zones and percent inhibition comparable to ciprofloxacin. The chemometric analysis confirmed that the extract and ET40% had similar antibacterial effects to the positive control, indicating their potential for development as antibacterial agents.
