TLDR PRP and minoxidil improved hair growth in a young man with no side effects.
This case report describes the successful treatment of a 27-year-old male with androgenetic alopecia using single spin platelet-rich plasma (PRP) therapy combined with topical minoxidil. The patient received biweekly PRP injections and applied 5% minoxidil twice daily, resulting in significant improvement in hair density and follicle diameter by week eighteen, with no side effects. The study highlights the effectiveness and safety of this combined treatment approach, particularly in resource-limited settings, and supports the use of PRP as an adjunct therapy for androgenetic alopecia in young Asian patients.
