TLDR AR gene variations don't affect aging markers in men.
This study investigated the relationship between androgen receptor (AR) gene polymorphisms and biological age in 131 healthy men, focusing on AR sensitivity estimated by CAG repeat length in the AR gene. Despite controlling for various factors, including testosterone levels, no relationship was found between AR CAG repeat length and biological age markers. The findings suggest that lifetime testosterone fluctuations, influenced by environmental and health factors, may obscure any potential link between AR gene polymorphisms and aging rates.
