TLDR Human placenta hydrolysate reduces inflammatory pain and nerve damage in mice.
The study examines the analgesic effects of human placenta hydrolysate (HPH) on CFA-induced inflammatory pain in mice, involving 45 mice in total. HPH, particularly at doses of 200 and 300 μL, significantly reduced pain behaviors, cold and mechanical allodynia, and paw thickness, while lowering pro-inflammatory cytokine levels (TNF-α, IL-1β, IL-6) compared to controls. Histological analysis showed reduced inflammation and neutrophil infiltration in HPH-treated groups. The study suggests that HPH alleviates pain by modulating inflammatory pathways and reducing neuronal sensitization, indicating its potential as a treatment for chronic inflammatory pain.
