TLDR AMP-303 safely increases hair growth in men with hair loss.
AMP-303, a novel polysaccharide for intradermal injection, was tested in a multicenter, randomized, placebo-controlled study involving 61 male subjects with mild to moderate androgenetic alopecia. The study found that AMP-303 increased non-vellus hair count, with Group 1 showing a 14.5% increase at 60 days, significantly greater than saline through 5 months (p<0.005). The treatment was well-tolerated, with mild adverse events such as headache and skin swelling. The results suggest AMP-303 is safe and effective, warranting further studies on repeat cycle administration for hair growth.
