TLDR The treatment with an oral drug and topical lotion is effective and well-tolerated for hair loss after COVID-19.
The document reports on the treatment of alopecia in patients who have recovered from COVID-19, noting that 25% of such patients experience hair loss due to factors like immune collapse and oxidative stress. A study involving patients aged 19 to 60 years at the Ekaterininskaya clinic network showed that an oral complex drug and a topical peptide lotion led to a positive outcome in 92% of the patients, with no side effects. Additionally, a random sample analysis of 50 outpatient cards revealed that over 50% of patients experienced trichodynia, and hair loss was not clearly correlated with the severity of COVID-19. The treatment with "Selenzin," which includes selenium, resulted in a significant reduction of hair loss and an increase in hair density, with 34% of patients rating the therapy as "excellent" and 58% as "good." Out of 50 patients, 48 completed the treatment, and no patients reported "no effect." The document concludes that the treatment is effective and well-tolerated for diffuse hair thinning post-COVID-19.
